Web feeds (sometimes called RSS feeds, XML feeds or Atom feeds) are special files containing blog or news posts. They can be imported into feed readers, which will automatically collect new blog posts.
Some good feed readers include Feedreader and FeedDemon for Windows, and NetNewsWire, NewsFire, and Safari's built-in RSS reader for Mac OS X. You can also use web-based readers such as Google Reader or Bloglines. These are just a few programs — there are many more feed readers out there.
An OPML file contain a list of web feeds. You can import such a file into your feed reader, and all web feeds contained in it will be imported.
